I have always loved the Walt Disney version of Alice in Wonderland. It is a terrific, crazy, well...wonderful movie. The way that Alice runs amok in a world of her imagination. I have always been somewhat of a crazy person myself that I can totally identify with her. The Cheshire cat, the hatter, the sheer madness of it all. I watched the fabulous live action version, and I can't get enough.
As you may, or may not know, I really love reading. Any book I can put my hands on usually gets read. For a very long time now I have been wanting to read "Alice's Adventures in Wonderland" and "Through the Looking Glass." I finally decided to squeeze it in between a few books in a long series that I am reading (yeah, still trying to get over the hump in the wheel of time). I have officially finished Alice's Adventures in Wonderland, and I really enjoyed it. Alice reminds me so much of Ryenn. I was a little disappointed that my favorite scene of the Disney movie where the cat and Alice discuss which direction the rabbit has gone, and whether or not she can stand on her head......is so not in the book! I love that part. I was almost holding my breath in anticipation. Still, such an awesome book. 4 STARS! Woo-hoo.
