Where did the time go!?

Believe it or not, Ryenn is about to celebrate her second birthday!! I don't know when she changed from the squawking, wrinkly, crying newborn into the fascinating, animated, monster that she is today. It happened much to quickly.



She has her own special personality. She thinks she is a ninja. She makes an adorable pirate. She can be very demanding, and she loves to use the word "now." Then she does a 360 and is generous. She gives big, slobbery kisses on the cheek. She even says "I love you momma (and daddy, too)."



Ryenn is currently in denial about the upcoming baby. If we ask her if the baby is in mommy's tummy, she will deny in every way possible. About a week ago she gave the baby bump a kiss and said, "I love you baby tummy." It was the cutest thing ever, and a moment I will never forget!

For Procrastinators Like Me!!!

Last year while I was ordering Ry's Halloween costume I was shocked at how quickly things had become out of stock. I even ordered her stuff at the beginning of September. I decided that this year would be different. So yesterday I spent the entire day looking for the perfect costume for my little lady.

To my surprise others must start even earlier than August. So many of the cute costumes labeled "New for 2009" were already beginning to sell out!!!! If you don't want to miss your chance at an adorable costume or a child or a spunky one for yourself......YOU BETTER GET ON THE BALL!!! I found the most luck at www.buycostumes.com. We have used them before and absolutely loved the products that we got!

This year the Nunley family will be going as Pirates. Ry loves to run around the house saying, "Pirates....ARRRR!" She also is fairly good at sword fighting thanks to Connor's tutorials in using a light-saber!!! Mine is even a maternity costume. I can't stop eating and I haven't even been nauseous enough to vomitt! That can only mean one thing. This child is going to make me larger than a freakin' elephant.

It has been a crazy couple of months since my last blog. I am sure that I will forget to add all the details of what has been happening to us.

Sadly, Ron and Brigette have moved away. They left us for a better job....and for a smaller town?? Are there towns smaller than Safford?? Apparently so. They went to a small town in Northern Nevada. We will miss them, but we wish them nothing but happiness.

We had a girls weekend out for Brigette. It involved my first trip to IKEA!!! (it may actually be the most magical place on earth...sorry disney land) We also went to Wicked at Gammage Theater. We sat dead center in like the 15th row. It was amazing. I loved every minute of it. I even bought an awesome "Wicked" hoodie! I can't wear it yet.....you know how Arizona is......but I love it! I was a bit skeptical about the musical, because I have read the book.....but it was made light and funny so it made my worries disappear like Glinda's bubbles!!!! (haha...you would have to see the show)

Last weekend we played in a softball tournament, that we took first place in!!! We are number one. I also hit a in the park home-run!!!! I am still a beast!!!

This weekend the Nunleys went to Balmorhea, TX. It is a State Park with a pool made out of a natural spring. It is huge! At one section of the pool it even goes about 28 feet deep. There are fish and turtles in the pool too! Unfortunately we didn't see the turtles while we were swimming, but we had lots of fun. There was a turtle in the little creek behind our cabin. It was freaky and looked like an alligator/lochness monster!

John and I are also expecting baby number two! I am 7 weeks along!! Our due date (which always changes after the ultrasound appointment) is March 26, 2010. Cross your fingers for a boy!

A baby and books

Tiny Tyvien

These last few weeks have been very eventful for me. Not at all in the way that you would think. I still haven't left my house for more than a few hours at a time....but I have read quite a few books and got a new niece.

Gaspar's new baby girl was born. Her name is Tyvien Reina. She was 7lbs. and 18" long. She looks just like Sunny.

I finished reading the Gemma Doyle trilogy. The books are titled "Rebel Angels" and "The Sweet Far Thing." This trilogy was an awesome way to take your mind off things. I really enjoyed this debut from Libba Bray and am looking forward to reading her next novel, "Going Bovine."


I also read a Nora Roberts novel called "True Betrayals." This was a time filler. I had ordered books from Amazon.com, but they hadn't arrived yet. A day without a book for me is a pretty empty one. Thank you Ms. Roberts for writing novels that require no thought....I think they call them leisure books. (even though we know they are just cheesy romance novels!) It definitely wasn't a favorite of mine, but it got me through my reading-dry-spell.


After that I got the first of the Shadowdwellers series by Jacquelyn Frank called "Ecstasy." I don't have much expectations going into the paranormal romance novels that I read, but I was surprised. It had a few unique ideas that I hadn't read in fantasy novels involving supernatural beings before. If you don't mind the romance end of this book, it might be worth checking out. Again....it requires very little thought. My only problem with novels of this variety is that the author introduces characters, and you develop a liking for them. Then you want to know how their relationships turn out, but they begin the next book with a different character.


I then moved to the second book in the Tairen Soul series by C.L. Wilson. This novel is called "Lady of Light and Shadows." I am enjoying these books because it is a paranormal romance, but without all the baby-making.

I am taking a break from reading for today, but I am about to trade three books to my sister-in-law Brigette for three more of hers.

From time to time I find myself with nothing to read. I devour books so quickly that I don't leave enough time to order the rest of the series or I forget to line up the next book. I made a trip to the Safford Public Library, and found it lacking. So I applied to Brigette, and she gave me this recent read of hers. I believe that I have mentioned it before, but she is a huge fan of the paranormal romance novels. I enjoy them, as well, especially as she keeps her suggestions to me rather tame!!

The Fae, are magical beings that are able to use the worlds elements to create objects, heal the wounded, and of course wield as a weapon. They are close to extinction due to the mass murders at the hands of their ruler Rainier vel'En Daris. He scorched the world after losing his love in the wars. This weekend John and I (yes...we were ry-less) made the trip to Overgaard, AZ for his boss' wedding. We stayed at the Bison Ranch Resort. It was lovely, and very cold. I wasn't prepared for how windy it would be. Still, it was great to be without our little lady for the first time. I didn't get many pictures from the actually wedding because I was helping with Noah. (brigette was a member of the wedding party) I did take a lot of pictures of various statues and mountainy views. I also bought an awesome stuffed Bison, and I named him Bruce. I love it. Hope you enjoy the pictures.
